BTS 'MIC Drop' M/V surpasses 1.6 billion views on YouTube... 4th new record

The music video for BTS’s ″MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)″ has surpassed 1.6 billion views. BigHit Music announced on the 17th that the music video exceeded 1.6 billion views on the official YouTube channel around 6:37 PM on the 16th. With this, BTS now has their fourth music video to surpass 1.6 billion views, following ″Dynamite,″ ″Boy With Luv (Feat. Halsey),″ and ″DNA.″ ″MIC Drop (Steve Aoki Remix)″ was released simultaneously as a single and music video on November 24, 2017. The song is a remix by world-renowned DJ Steve Aoki of BTS’s track ″MIC Drop″ from their mini-album LOVE YOURSELF 承 ’Her’, reimagined in the electro-trap genre. Upon release, it entered the US Billboard Hot 100 chart at number 28 and remained on the chart for 10 weeks. The music video begins with Steve Aoki DJing and features a blend of the seven members’ performances and stylish visuals. BTS performs synchronized choreography in an interrogation room filled with microphones and in front of a burning car, with the final scene impressively capturing Suga dropping the microphone. BTS also holds numerous music videos with over 100 million views, including ″IDOL″ and ″FAKE LOVE.″
