Jang Kiha introduces "Shattered" and "You, Me, and You"... "Challenging the video music production method"

Jang Kiha appeared on KBS2 music talk show ″The Seasons-Sung Si-Kyung’s Eardrum Boyfriend″ and shared updates on his activities with the title track ″You, Me, and Everyone″ from his full-length album ″Shattered Pieces.″ During the broadcast, Sung Si-Kyung mentioned the strong addictiveness of Jang Kiha’s new song after watching his performance, saying, ″It might become a banned song for the college entrance exam.″ He also highly praised Jang Kiha’s musical individuality, saying, ″In a world where what only I can do is important, Jang Kiha truly has a distinct color.″ While discussing the reactions he wanted to hear after releasing the new song, Jang Kiha revealed that the first comment on the a cappella song video included in the album was, ″Is this even a song?″ He said he has consistently received similar reactions since his debut, and now he worries that if he doesn’t get such responses, it might mean he has become too conventional. When the same reaction appeared as the first comment this time, he added, ″I felt relieved.″ Sung Si-Kyung responded, ″That person has been active for a long time,″ and Jang Kiha replied, ″I don’t know if it’s a friend or the person themselves, but the opinion seems consistent.″ When Sung Si-Kyung asked if he planned to present melody-centered songs, Jang Kiha immediately answered, ″Isn’t that comment from that guy?″ He then mentioned his representative song ″Cheap Coffee,″ emphasizing that his songs also have clear melodies. Jang Kiha said, ″Maybe the standards for melody are different,″ and Sung Si-Kyung explained, ″I was talking about songs with a clear beginning, middle, and end.″ Jang Kiha also introduced the production process of his first solo full-length album ″Shattered Pieces.″ He revealed that he incorporated his experience as a music director for the films ″Smuggling″ and ″Veteran 2″ into his album work. He tried a method of first producing a silent film about 30 minutes long and then adding music to fit the video, which he personally named ″video music.″ Sung Si-Kyung said, ″That must have taken a lot of effort. This kind of work needs to succeed,″ and Jang Kiha replied, ″You really understand, hyung. Everyone will make sure it goes well.″ Additionally, Sung Si-Kyung referred to expressions mentioned by Park Jin Young such as ″sing as if speaking″ and ″half air, half sound,″ evaluating Jang Kiha’s music as ″It feels like singing and speaking coexist. Sometimes it feels like scolding, sometimes like delivering a sharp remark, and sometimes like having a conversation.″ Jang Kiha responded, ″There are actually people who reply.″ Meanwhile, Jang Kiha officially confirmed his relationship with actress Yoon Gai last June. The two met through the 2023 Coupang Play ″SNL Korea Reboot Season 4,″ and despite an 18-year age difference, they have been dating for two years. Jang Kiha previously dated IU but broke up, and since going public with his relationship, he has not mentioned Yoon Gai in official appearances.
