YENA gifts house and car to parents after overcoming childhood cancer, pledges to honor them

Singer YENA revealed on a broadcast about battling childhood cancer and gifting a house and car to their parents. YENA appeared on MBC’s ″The Manager″ aired on the 19th, sharing daily life with their mother. The episode showed the mother worrying about YENA’s health and preparing meals. The mother said, ″You’ve been busy lately, right? You need to take good care of your health especially now,″ showing concern for her daughter’s well-being. When the nagging continued, YENA responded, ″Just as I can’t quit Malang-i, Mom can’t stop nagging either.″ YENA confessed to having had childhood cancer. They said, ″At age four, I was diagnosed with pediatric cancer and hovered between life and death. The hospital said there was no hope, and my parents took a photo to a shaman who said, ’Why are you bringing a photo of a dead child?’″ They continued, ″My mom and dad cherished me, determined to save me. I was weak and innocent. When I injured my leg, the hospital said I wouldn’t be able to walk, but my mother threw me into a public bath’s event pool, and I was able to walk a month later. It seems my mom saved a fate that was not meant to survive.″ YENA said, ″I felt sorry for causing so much worry. That’s why I thought I must succeed no matter what and repay my parents. As I worked hard, my parents have been very happy lately.″ They added, ″I replaced the house and my parents’ car, and I plan to replace my dad’s car this time. They are always happy now.″ Additionally, YENA spoke about the popularity of ″Catch Catch,″ saying, ″It received much more love than I expected.″ They mentioned having 20 events, festivals, and festival schedules booked until November. They also explained that the recently highlighted stages at ″Waterbomb″ and the ″Blue Dragon Series Awards″ were their ideas. At the Waterbomb stage, they attracted attention by wearing a full-body suit and said, ″I covered everything with a reverse idea and went ambitiously, but it was so hot that day I kept spraying water to survive.″
