BTS Jungkook Now Has Four Songs Above 500 Million Plays on YouTube Music

Jungkook has reached another major streaming milestone and this one reveals something more important than the popularity of a single song.

The BTS member now has four tracks with more than 500 million plays on YouTube Music. “Standing Next to You” recently crossed the mark, joining “Seven,” “3D” and his Charlie Puth collaboration “Left and Right.”

Reaching 500 million plays is significant by itself. Doing it with four different songs points to something bigger: Jungkook has developed a catalog that listeners continue to revisit well beyond its initial release cycle.

“Standing Next to You” Completes a Four-Song Milestone

Released in November 2023 as the title track of Jungkook’s debut solo album, GOLDEN, “Standing Next to You” presented a different side of the singer.

While “Seven” leaned into polished UK garage-influenced pop and “3D” blended pop with early-2000s R&B, “Standing Next to You” drew from funk, disco and retro performance pop. The track placed greater emphasis on Jungkook’s vocals, choreography and ability to command a stage as a solo performer.

Its latest YouTube Music milestone means Jungkook’s four tracks above 500 million plays now include:

  • “Seven,” featuring Latto
  • “3D,” featuring Jack Harlow
  • “Standing Next to You”
  • “Left and Right,” with Charlie Puth

The four songs are not stylistically identical, and that is precisely why the achievement matters. Listeners have responded to Jungkook across collaborations, solo releases and several different strands of global pop.

Why Four Successful Songs Matter More Than One Blockbuster

A single enormous hit can be powered by timing, promotion or a viral moment. Four songs surpassing the same major threshold suggest repeat demand.

“Seven” remains the biggest streaming gateway into Jungkook’s solo catalog. The song debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and also topped the Billboard Global 200. It reportedly has now exceeded 1.3 billion plays on YouTube Music.

However, Jungkook’s long-term strength is not explained by “Seven” alone.

“3D” reached No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100, while “Standing Next to You” reinforced his identity as a performance-focused pop soloist. “Left and Right,” released before GOLDEN, had already demonstrated that Jungkook could succeed in an English-language collaboration outside BTS.

Together, the songs show a progression rather than four isolated releases. “Left and Right” expanded his mainstream exposure, “Seven” delivered a global breakthrough, “3D” maintained the momentum and “Standing Next to You” established a clearer musical identity.

GOLDEN Was Designed as a Global Pop Album

Jungkook’s streaming performance also reflects the strategy behind GOLDEN.

Instead of building the album exclusively around one genre or a traditional K-pop promotional model, the project positioned Jungkook as a global pop vocalist capable of adapting to different producers and sounds.

The album brought together international collaborators and moved through garage pop, R&B, dance-pop, electronic production and retro funk. As the Associated Press noted in its review, the record followed the chart success of “Seven” and “3D” while placing “Standing Next to You” at the center of Jungkook’s first full solo statement.

That variety helped give each major single its own identity. Rather than asking audiences to respond repeatedly to the same formula, Jungkook offered several distinct entry points into his music.

YouTube Music Plays and Music Video Views Are Different

The new milestone should not be confused with the view totals shown on Jungkook’s individual music videos.

YouTube Music performance can include official audio and other recognized song activity across YouTube’s music ecosystem. A music video’s public view count, by contrast, reflects activity on that specific video.

According to the Korean report, the official videos for “Seven,” “3D” and “Standing Next to You” have separately generated hundreds of millions of views. Those figures should not simply be combined with YouTube Music plays as though they represent the same measurement.

The distinction makes Jungkook’s performance more revealing. His songs are not being consumed only as visually driven K-pop releases. They are also functioning as repeat-listening tracks on a major music-streaming platform.

Jungkook’s Catalog Continues to Grow Without Constant Promotion

Perhaps the most notable part of this milestone is its timing.

The main singles from GOLDEN were released in 2023, yet they continue to accumulate plays years later. That longevity suggests the catalog has moved beyond the intense attention surrounding its launch.

Jungkook also reportedly has five songs above 400 million YouTube Music plays, with the 2022 FIFA World Cup song “Dreamers” joining the four tracks already above 500 million.

“Dreamers” adds another dimension to the catalog. Unlike the relationship-driven pop of GOLDEN, it is an uplifting stadium anthem connected to one of the world’s largest sporting events. Its continued performance shows that Jungkook’s audience is not concentrated around a single album or concept.

The Bigger Story Is Catalog Depth

The strongest takeaway is not simply that Jungkook has another large number attached to his name.

It is that his solo catalog is developing depth.

“Seven” supplied the blockbuster moment, but “3D,” “Standing Next to You,” “Left and Right” and “Dreamers” prevented his solo career from being defined by one release. Each song continues to attract listeners for a different reason, creating a broader foundation for whatever comes next.

Streaming milestones cannot measure artistic quality on their own. They can, however, show whether listeners return after the promotions, performances and release-week excitement have passed.

In Jungkook’s case, they clearly are.
