BOYNEXTDOOR produces family music video for Chuseok... Acting challenge with past life story 'Dear My Darling'

BOYNEXTDOOR members took on the challenge of creating a special music video to celebrate Chuseok. With the intention of making content that the whole family could enjoy together, they planned a self-produced drama-style music video themed around ″Dear My Darling.″ They assigned roles to each member using characters from their past life experience and crafted a story set in a village during the Joseon Dynasty. The script, written by the members themselves, included the complicated relationships of young man Yongho and those around him, who face difficulties in love due to social status differences, as well as various twists and a love triangle. The members took charge of every aspect of the music video production, including role distribution, scene direction, and prop preparation. On set, they fully immersed themselves in their characters and performed their roles, exchanging opinions on lines and scenes while adjusting the direction on the spot. Key scenes included the appearance and sudden attack of a tiger, a sorrowful farewell, confessions and rejections of love, and a dramatic conclusion. The members skillfully blended comedic elements with touching moments to create a production that family viewers could enjoy. After filming, the members shared their thoughts on the new experience of acting out past lives. One member said it was fun to play a character different from their usual self. Another mentioned the challenges of directing and expressed that it became a great memory thanks to everyone’s serious commitment. The members said they consider it a success if even one viewer laughs and promised to continue meeting fans with diverse content in the future.
