KEYVITUP, controversy over early morning filming noise at Incheon Jemulpo Market...Agency apologizes "We failed to consider the residents' inconvenience"

The boy group KEYVITUP’s music video shoot took place late at night, causing noise disturbances, and their agency, Encode, issued an official apology. Encode, the agency of KEYVITUP, conveyed their apologies to the residents who experienced discomfort and damage due to the noise from the recent KEYVITUP music video shoot through their official website on September 30. Encode stated that although they made various efforts to minimize the inconvenience to residents during the filming process, they failed to carefully consider the potential disturbances to the surrounding environment and residents’ lives as the shoot continued late into the night. The agency said, ″We sincerely apologize once again to the residents who were inconvenienced by this.″ The agency takes this matter seriously and stated that they will visit the affected residents and sincerely carry out follow-up measures with a responsible attitude. They added that in future filming and production processes, they will pay closer attention to the surrounding environment and residents’ lives, conduct thorough pre-inspections of the entire filming process with the production team, and carefully manage filming hours and on-site noise to prevent similar situations from recurring. This noise controversy came to light when a resident living near Jemulpo Market in Incheon, identified as A, posted a video of the filming site on their SNS. The video showed filming taking place in the middle of the market with lights set up and loud music and the host’s voice echoing through speakers. A claimed, ″I have lived in this neighborhood for 10 years and witnessed countless shoots, but I have never seen filming go this far, using speakers past 3 a.m.″ They also stated that no separate cooperation or understanding was sought from the residents. After a police report, the filming ended about 10 to 15 minutes later, and there were cheers during the wrap-up. KEYVITUP is a five-member boy group produced by Encode, founded by singer KIM JAEJOONG, and debuted last April. They released their first EP titled ’KEYVITUP’, sharing the same name as the group, and are preparing for a comeback in November.
