DinDin confirms remake of 'Dream of the Square' in November with advice from Kwon Jung-yeol... Yoo Young-seok also gives approval

DinDin revealed that he gained courage from Kwon Jung-yeol. In the video titled ″Even If You’re Not a Face Genius, Faces That Tried (ft. Team Goodie) l [Grrr Galk: Jindae Talk] EP11. 10CM Kwon Jung-yeol,″ released on June 2 on the YouTube channel ’DinDin is DinDin,’ DinDin mentioned his gratitude toward Kwon Jung-yeol. He began by saying, ″When hyung did ’10cm’s Ssudam Ssudam,’ didn’t I go and sing ’Square’s Dream’?″ DinDin explained that Kwon Jung-yeol gave positive feedback on the song and encouraged him to do a remake, which actually led to a remake in November. He added that when he contacted the original composer Yoo Young-seok, he received a response that he enjoyed it and was given permission to remake it freely. However, DinDin said he hesitated because IU had already remade ’Square’s Dream.’ In response, Kwon Jung-yeol advised him not to be conscious of IU, and DinDin added, ″He said it’s a different game between you and IU, so why be conscious? I thought, ’Oh, that’s right,’ and really went ahead with it.″ Meanwhile, DinDin previously shared an episode related to the song ’Square’s Dream’ with his older sisters during his childhood on a past broadcast. He said, ″One day, a record player appeared in our house. My sisters bought a CD and said we should play ’Square’s Dream.’ They laid me down on the bed, the younger sister sat on my chest holding my arms, and the older sister held my legs. Then they said, ’Every time Square comes out, you get hit,’ or something like that? They just hit me.″
