Shin Young-il "Reason for being chosen as quiz MC? Because of a trustworthy appearance"... Confesses 20 years of experience

Shin Young-il appeared on the ″Quiz Show! Ten Million Luck″ segment of KBS 1TV’s ″Morning Yard″ and explained his reasons for being a quiz program host. The segment, aired on October 9th in celebration of Hangul Day, invited Shin Young-il, who had served as MC for shows such as ″Quiz Korea″ and ″Quiz Exploration of the Mysterious World.″ Shin Young-il said, ″Every time I am under the spotlight, there is a warmth like a mother’s embrace. Whenever I come to KBS, I feel like I am back home, so it feels good. Also, if I win the prize money later, I will go to the announcer’s office and brag about it. I will just brag that I won.″ Having hosted quiz programs for 20 years, Shin Young-il responded to the question, ″Since you have hosted many quiz shows, you must have abundant general knowledge. Are you confident?″ by saying, ″Being a quiz program MC means you are chosen not to be the person who wins first place in the quiz, but for a trustworthy appearance. To be honest, you shouldn’t expect skill.″ During the broadcast, Jo Woo-jong remarked, ″I don’t really trust your appearance. But I think you will solve the quizzes well.″
