Kim Yoo-jung transforms into a pickpocket in Gyeongseong in the first broadcast of '100 Days of Lies'... ranks first in the same time slot

tvN weekend drama ’100 Days of Lies’ made a spectacular start with the premiere on the 10th, marking Kim Yoo-jung’s return as Lee Ga-kyung, a pickpocket in Gyeongseong. Set in Gyeongseong in 1932, the drama depicts the intertwined fates of five characters with different goals: Lee Ga-kyung (Kim Yoo-jung), Sato Hideo/Kim Tae-woong (Park Jin Young), Yoo So-ran (Kim Hyun-joo), Yoo Philip (Lee Moo-saeng), and Sato Shinichi (Jin Seon-kyu). In the first episode, Lee Ga-kyung appears as a pickpocket living around Gyeongseong Station, dreaming of going to America. She cleverly escapes a police inspection and shows a playful quarrel while fluently switching between Korean, Japanese, and English during her first encounter with Sato Hideo/Kim Tae-woong. Lee Ga-kyung boldly steals Sato Hideo’s wallet and reveals her survival-first character through a friendly daily life with Inoma (Hong Sa-bin). The atmosphere changes as the new Chief Political Officer Sato Shinichi arrives at Gyeongseong Station. The couple Yoo So-ran and Yoo Philip greet Sato Shinichi through the Governor-General’s interpreter Suzuki (Kim Do-hyun). In fact, Yoo So-ran and Yoo Philip are members of the Patriotic Corps, disguised as a married couple for the assassination mission against Sato Shinichi. Yoo So-ran expresses her determination before the decisive day, saying, ″I have waited 13 years, but waiting a few more days is even harder.″ That day, Lee Ga-kyung faces a police inspection while trying to steal Yoo So-ran’s bag but avoids danger by attaching a ’first-class’ paper tag found on the train to the bag. Later, an uncomfortable atmosphere arises when she bumps into Sato Hideo, and Lee Ga-kyung escapes after stealing his wallet at Gyeongseong Station. Yoo So-ran, Yoo Philip, Han Cheol-ryong (Kim In-kwon), and Suzuki hold a final operation meeting, reaffirming their resolve for revenge. Sato Shinichi attends a dinner invitation from Yoo Philip and his wife, with Sato Hideo’s presence becoming a variable. An uninvited guest appears at the dinner, and Lee Ga-kyung arrives demanding money after finding a bullet in Yoo So-ran’s bag. Sato Hideo asks Lee Ga-kyung to return the wallet she stole at Gyeongseong Station, but she deceives him by claiming she is the house’s night watchman. Then, a mysterious man disguised as a cake delivery person appears, threatening Lee Ga-kyung with a gun and ordering her to lead him to the restroom where Sato Shinichi is. Lee Ga-kyung is taken hostage and faces a tense situation, and when she makes eye contact with Sato Hideo, she asks for help, saying, ″Help me... Assassination.″ The first broadcast gathered the five characters at Gyeongseong Station, beginning the main story and portraying the meeting of characters entangled with different intentions and interests. ’100 Days of Lies’ episode 2 will air on the 11th at 9:10 PM.
