BTS World Tour, 88 Dates Confirmed... Continuing South America Tour After Santiago, Chile Performance

BTS is gaining attention from South American fans with customized stages and communication reflecting the characteristics of each city during the world tour ’BTS WORLD TOUR ’ARIRANG’’. This tour started in Goyang last April, continuing through North America, Europe, and South America, with a total of 88 performances scheduled until the first half of next year. The tour reached its halfway point last September, and plans to continue performing in various cities. At every concert, BTS has prepared a ’random song’ segment where they perform songs other than the fixed setlist spontaneously. They randomly select from debut title tracks to various album songs, showing the audience a new stage each time. Even in the same city, the song selection changes with each show, allowing the audience to experience a different performance every time. The song selection and costumes reflecting the characteristics of the concert locations also stand out. In Tokyo, Japan, they performed Japanese songs such as ’Crystal Snow’ and ’FOR YOU’; in Busan, they sang regionally themed songs like ’Paldo Gangsan’ and ’Ma City,’ with ’Ma City’ having some lyrics adapted to fit Busan for the stage. In Mexico, they wore cowboy hats, and in Toronto, Canada, they decorated their costumes using locally sourced keyrings and animal dolls. At the Lima, Peru concert on the 9th, they showcased costumes featuring members’ real names, messages to the fandom ARMY, and the Taegeuk symbol to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Hangul Day. Communication in the local language is also actively carried out. BTS goes beyond greeting in the local language, engaging with the audience by mentioning everyday local expressions and city-related stories. In Bogotá, Colombia, the audience welcomed the members with the phrase ’Assarabia,’ and BTS responded by shouting ″Assarabia Colombia″ while performing songs and dances. In Paris, they expressed their feelings in French and created moments of language exchange by teaching the audience how to say ’I love you’ in Korean. BTS plans to continue reflecting the characteristics of each city in song selection, costumes, and local language communication in the remaining concerts. Starting with the Santiago, Chile performances on the 14th and 16th-17th, they will meet fans across South America including Buenos Aires, Argentina, and São Paulo, Brazil, before continuing the tour in various cities worldwide such as Asia.
