Anna, Park Joo-ho's wife, reveals complete recovery from breast cancer: "Positive response to chemotherapy"

Anna, the wife of Park Joo-ho, revealed her breast cancer diagnosis and chemotherapy treatment process through the YouTube channel ’Annawa.’ In the video released on the 15th, Anna met with Professor Kim Hee-jung of Seoul Asan Medical Center and shared her experience from the time of breast cancer diagnosis to chemotherapy treatment. Anna explained the reason for discovering breast cancer, saying, ″It was a strange feeling. I never expected something like this to happen to me.″ She stated that there was no family history of cancer or breast cancer, and she did not expect to experience breast cancer at the young age of thirty. She underwent testing at the suggestion of her husband, Park Joo-ho, and later had a biopsy. Professor Kim Hee-jung emphasized that it is difficult to suspect breast cancer in young patients without a family history and stressed the importance of regular health checkups and monthly self-examinations. Professor Kim explained that Anna responded well to chemotherapy, saying, ″The chemotherapy worked so well that it was memorable. The lump was barely palpable, and it was almost invisible on the MRI right before surgery.″ She also said, ″The tumor was quite large at first, and the actual surgical results can vary, so we examined it during surgery, but it was a complete remission. The cancer was completely gone.″ Anna said she considered donating her hair during chemotherapy but did not follow through due to discouragement from those around her. Her husband, Park Joo-ho, was always on her side. When her hair began to fall out, she felt upset but said, ″I just accepted it as hair. I thought it would grow back.″ Regarding physical changes caused by chemotherapy, she mentioned that horizontal lines appeared on her nails, allowing her to count the number of treatments. She also experienced swelling as a side effect from medication taken after chemotherapy and said it brought her to tears. Each time, she thought, ″The medicine is working,″ and endured it by trusting her doctor’s words. Anna is married to Park Joo-ho and has two sons and one daughter: Na-eun, Geon-hoo, and Jin-woo. She is currently pregnant with their fourth child. Anna had previously disclosed her battle with breast cancer in 2022.
