Nexz opens their first Asia tour in Seoul... a spectacular return with 28 songs on stage after one year

Nexz (NEXZ) held their first Asia tour, ’Nexz First Asia Tour SAUCIN’ THE WORLD’ (NEXZ 1ST ASIA TOUR ), on the 18th at Olympic Hall in Songpa-gu, Seoul, showcasing 28 songs. This concert marked the starting point of their first Asia tour since their global debut in May 2024 and was the first time in about a year since the ’Nexz Special Concert ONE BEAT’ (NEXZ SPECIAL CONCERT ) in October last year that they met with domestic fans again. Nexz is a seven-member multinational boy group consisting of TOMOYA, Yoo, Haru, Sogeon, SEITA, Huey, and Yuki, formed through the joint project ’Nizi Project Season 2’ by JYP Entertainment and Sony Music Japan. The team name is an abbreviation of ’Next Z(G)eneration,’ meaning to lead the next generation with new music and performances. During the concert, all members utilized various parts of the stage to deliver high-level performances and stable live vocals. The intense opening stages included ’MmchK,’ ’NALLINA,’ and ’O-RLY?,’ with ’O-RLY?’ featuring a performance combining laser effects and acrobatics. In ’One Bite,’ the mood shifted with a performance using blindfolds and strings, and in ’BURNING BLACK,’ TOMOYA’s high notes stood out. Solo performances followed. Yoo presented a modern dance-inspired stage, differentiating from traditional b-boying, while SEITA showed concentration in ’Want More? One More!’. Huey performed an a cappella rap in ’Hands up, Yo!’, and Sogeon and Yuki each showcased their individuality with the ’Co-Star’ bridge performance and ’Next Zeneration’ dance break, respectively. In the middle part of the concert, the members closed the distance with fans by moving around the first and second floors of the venue. In ’ALIENS,’ they created a refreshing atmosphere with desk props and bright vocals, while ’Ride the Vibe’ and ’Starlight’ emphasized interaction with fans. During the ’SAUCIN’ stage, fans’ chants added energy, and in ’Next Zeneration,’ cheers of ″Nexz, Nexz″ echoed throughout. The concert also featured songs directly participated in by the members, such as ’MmchK,’ co-written by TOMOYA, Huey, and Yuki; ’APPETITE,’ co-written and composed by TOMOYA, Haru, and Huey; and ’20 NOW,’ written and composed by TOMOYA. The encore included ’HYPEMAN,’ solely written by TOMOYA and Yuki, and ’Next To Me,’ written by all members and composed by TOMOYA and Haru, concluding the performance. At the end, the members expressed gratitude to their fandom, ’Nexty,’ and shared their thoughts. Yoo said, ″I’ve recently gained more confidence than at debut. Nexty always told me to ’have confidence,’ and finally, I have confidence on stage. It’s thanks to Nexty.″ TOMOYA stated, ″Now we’re starting the Asia tour. We will go to meet Nexty all over the world.″ SEITA said, ″Just being able to see Nexty makes me so happy and glad,″ adding, ″Please stay with me until the end. I hate goodbyes the most. Please hold hands with us and run until the end.″ Yuki shared, ″This is the most songs we’ve performed in any of our concerts so far,″ revealing the pressure of preparing 28 songs, but also said, ″Seeing Nexty having so much fun, smiling, and even some crying here and there made me so happy that the time flew by in an instant.″ This year, Nexz gained diverse stage experience by participating in ’STRAYCITY’ held in Latin America, including Colombia and Argentina, and the Brazilian music festival ’Rock in Rio.’ The Seoul concert was an opportunity to confirm their growth, teamwork, and bond with fans.
