Dun releases first album "Green House" under "Value Service," featuring Korea's nature and national heritage

DAWN has transformed into ambient music producer Kachi service and released his first album, ″green house,″ on the 23rd at 1 PM through various online music platforms. This album is the first work presented by DAWN as the executive producer of the project ″Kachiieum,″ which explores Korean artisans and national heritage. The album contains natural sounds collected from three forests: Gwangneung Forest, preserved for over 500 years; the forest surrounding Namhansanseong Fortress; and Bijarim, dense with centuries-old nutmeg trees. These sounds are composed into five tracks, ranging from ″Ancient Future″ to ″Patience & Devotion.″ DAWN previously showed his interest in Korea’s intangible heritage on MBC’s variety show ″I Live Alone,″ where he made lighting using traditional Korean paper and carved wood himself. Notably, the September 11th episode revealed the process of directly collecting sounds of national heritage with recording equipment and documenting the scene with a film camera. The result of this work is ″green house.″ The mastering of this album was handled by engineer Zino Mikorey, based in Berlin. DAWN plans to continue capturing the beauty of Korea’s nature and beyond through sound as Kachi service. Meanwhile, DAWN debuted in 2016 as a member of the group Pentagon and began his solo career in 2019 with the release of his first solo single, ″MONEY.″ He showcased his vocal abilities with the hit song ″To You Who Shine,″ and was named one of the ″Most Stylish Musicians″ by Rolling Stone in the United States. In August of this year, he released the single ″Too Much.″ Recently, he has been serving as the executive producer of the YouTube series ″Kachiieum,″ introducing the traditions of Korean artisans.
