Yook Joong-wan refuses to purchase a building worth 850 million won... currently valued at 4 billion won

Singer Yuk Joong-wan revealed the story of missing the opportunity to purchase a rooftop building in Mangwon-dong in the past. On the October 28 broadcast of MBC’s ″Radio Star,″ Yuk Joong-wan recalled the time he lived in a rooftop room in Mangwon-dong and said that before his marriage, he was repeatedly encouraged by neighbors and the building owner to buy the property. He added that he received two more offers afterward but rejected them all. Yuk Joong-wan said that Mangwon-dong residents tried to introduce properties not listed on the real estate market at low prices, and there was even a place where a 50-pyeong land was about 600 million won. He revealed that the current market price of the rooftop building he had refused has reached about 4 billion won. During the broadcast, Yoo Se-yoon asked Yuk Joong-wan, ″Did you tear up a 4 billion won lottery ticket?″ and Kim Gu-ra referred to him as ″a friend with no luck in real estate.″ Yuk Joong-wan also shared various anecdotes from Mangwon-dong, including his experience working part-time at a live cafe in Bundang during his unknown days, where he received tips from a female customer who requested the same song every day. Meanwhile, before his marriage, Yuk Joong-wan revealed his rooftop room life in Mangwon-dong on MBC’s ″I Live Alone,″ and he married a non-celebrity in 2016 and has one daughter.
