Hong Jin-kyung challenges the Santiago pilgrimage route... recovers lost luggage on the way home after losing it

It was revealed that Hong Jin-kyung faced various unexpected situations while challenging the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. On the 30th, the YouTube channel ’Study King Genius Hong Jin-kyung’ uploaded a video titled ″An Unbelievable Life Experience That Happened on the Pilgrimage Path Hong Jin-kyung Took to Find Happiness.″ The video showed Hong Jin-kyung embarking on the Camino de Santiago alone. Hong Jin-kyung planned a journey of walking a total of 244 km starting from Porto, but from the first day, she encountered a problem where her luggage did not arrive at the transit point in Lisbon. She explained, ″According to the original plan, I was supposed to check out, go to Porto Cathedral to get a pilgrim’s passport, and then start, but there was a problem. My luggage didn’t come to Lisbon.″ She continued, ″All my spare socks, clothes, and necessary items were in there, but fortunately, they said the luggage would arrive at Porto Airport today, in the evening. So I have to stay here one more day.″ Due to the lost luggage, Hong Jin-kyung extended her stay at the accommodation by one night, obtained her pilgrim’s passport, had a meal locally, and took time to look around the neighborhood. She said, ″The journey is supposed to be 250 km over ten days, so I planned to walk 25 km each day, but that plan got disrupted.″ During a phone call with an acquaintance, she reported, ″I don’t have any clothes to change into or socks,″ and when the acquaintance said, ″You’ve become a true pilgrim,″ she laughed and said, ″I have only one backpack. I even thought about traveling with just this. But I don’t have a raincoat or spare clothes. Even a true pilgrim has to wash and wear underwear, right?″ However, the luggage still did not arrive the next day. Hong Jin-kyung said, ″I thought I could find my luggage at the airport, but they said it didn’t come from Lisbon and they don’t know where it is. It’s so absurd.″ Eventually, she bought new pants, shirts, and underwear, packed only the essentials, and set off on the pilgrimage. During the journey, after taking constipation medicine, she suddenly needed to go urgently but had difficulty finding a restroom because most nearby shops were closed. After barely using a restroom, the video showed her buying new underwear. Hong Jin-kyung said, ″I really hope there’s no misunderstanding. To be honest, it was just a drop, that’s all,″ and added, ″Portuguese constipation medicine seems scary. I wonder how much people who found my underwear in the restroom laughed. It’s driving me crazy.″ Having started the pilgrimage without her luggage, Hong Jin-kyung completed the ten-day journey and retrieved her luggage at the airport on her way back home.
