OH YOONA, the reason I decided to marry my husband who is four years younger... consideration for our son

OH YOONA revealed the reason for deciding to marry her husband, who is four years younger, and shared an update on her son, Songmin. OH YOONA returned to broadcasting after three years on the July 29th episode of KBS 2TV’s ″New Product Launch, Ppongstorang″ 7th anniversary special and announced her marriage. She said, ″I missed this so much. Coming here feels like being at my parents’ home, and it almost brought me to tears,″ explaining why she decided to get married. OH YOONA’s husband was born in 1984, making him four years younger than her, and they met through an introduction, initially becoming friends. OH YOONA originally had no intention of marrying, but her heart was moved by the warm way her husband treated her son Min, who has developmental disabilities. She especially mentioned the story of her husband taking Min to a public bathhouse, recalling, ″Even my own father never took him there, and that was Min’s first time at a public bathhouse,″ and she felt that Min had fallen for her husband. OH YOONA added that it was meaningful that her husband treated Min as if he were his own son and took care of him. She also remembered how her husband made efforts to teach Min how to ski. After they started living together, her husband taught Min necessary things like brushing his teeth and washing his hair, and she recalled the moment Min said, ″We are family.″ Regarding her first meeting with her in-laws, OH YOONA tearfully shared, ″I thought they would be surprised to see Min in person, so I planned to show him later, but they kept asking me to bring him. My father-in-law warmly embraced Min.″ She confessed that after meeting her mother-in-law, who she described as ″an angel herself, no words needed,″ she decided to get married. OH YOONA gave birth to her son Songmin in 2007 and raised Min alone after divorcing in 2015. In July, she registered her marriage with a non-celebrity man who is four years younger and started a new family. Meanwhile, on the 31st, OH YOONA shared an update on her son through her personal channel with the caption, ″Passionate Min today as well!!″ Min participated in the ″2026 Autism Race″ held that day and completed the 4.2 km course in 36 minutes. Min posed with a V sign at the spot displaying his record, smiling brightly, while OH YOONA cheered on her son’s challenge from the side. She praised him, saying, ″Did you run all by yourself? Amazing. Well done. You’re the best.″ On the broadcast, OH YOONA revealed that Min has turned twenty and joined a swimming team for people with disabilities as an athlete. Min is training to compete in the domestic qualifiers for the Special Olympics and won a bronze medal in freestyle and a silver medal in backstroke at his first competition. The show also revealed the special relationship between her new husband and Min. OH YOONA expressed gratitude, sharing the story of her husband’s efforts to teach Min how to ski, and said that Min has grown very close to his stepfather, calling him ″uncle’s shadow.″
