Gemstone E&M enters the screen with IMTV, expanding its business domain

The two companies plan to expand the scope of content intellectual property (IP) utilization by linking various fields, including movies and dramas, as well as OSTs and performances.'Geumwold', their first project, is a work that depicts the events that unfold as the protagonist, who lived in Seoul, heads to the misty island of 'Geumwold' in search of her missing mother. It is expected to present a unique worldview that incorporates Korean sentiment, centering on a blood-red moon and mysterious beings hidden on the island.'Geumwold' is being developed in two formats: a commercial film for theaters and a 6-episode mid-form drama of 30 minutes each. Among these, the mid-form drama has been selected for the '2026 OTT Specialized Content Production Support' IP Acquisition Medium-length category by the Korea Creative Content Agency and will receive production cost support, laying the foundation for expanding the original IP into various video formats and subsequent businesses.In this project, Gemstone E&M will participate not only in co-production and investment but also in film music production. In particular, with the characteristic of the occult horror genre, where sound and music determine tension and immersion, the plan is to organically combine video and music from the planning stage.In relation to this, Jason Lee, Group Management Head of Gemstone E&M, explained, "'Geumwold' is more than just a movie investment; it is the first step for our company to participate as a producer of video content.
