Nana removes full-body tattoos... left the year her mother was born, '1968'

Singer and actress Nana has removed most of her full-body tattoos, drawing renewed attention to the meaning of the ″1968″ tattoo left on her right leg. On the 28th, Nana shared several photos from a photo shoot on her account, updating fans on her recent status. In the photos, she posed in front of the camera with short black bobbed hair, pink-toned makeup, and a thin-strapped outfit. Notably, the tattoos that used to be all over her body were barely visible in this photo shoot, catching people’s attention. In 2022, Nana made headlines by revealing her full-body tattoos, but later decided to remove them at her mother’s suggestion. She appeared on the web variety show ″Salon Drip 2″ and said, ″After quite some time, my mom cautiously asked, ’How about removing them?’″ and ″At that moment, I immediately said, ’Sure! I can remove them.’″ On the same show, Nana shared, ″Almost all of them have been removed now,″ explaining that she underwent the removal procedure five times without using numbing cream. Regarding why she didn’t use numbing cream, she said, ″If you apply it, you have to wait 3 to 4 hours. That time feels too wasted.″ She also mentioned that areas close to bones, such as her chest, ribs, and the top of her feet, were especially painful. Meanwhile, while removing her full-body tattoos, Nana kept the number ″1968″ tattooed on her right leg. This number represents the year her mother was born, and Nana explained, ″It’s the year my mom was born. I just wanted to keep this tattoo.″ She stated that both the reason for removing the full-body tattoos and the reason for leaving this single tattoo are related to her mother. Nana, formerly of the group After School, continues her acting career in various works such as the Netflix series Mask Girl, Scandal, and the movie Omniscient Reader.
