NMIXX Lily refuses topic of wildfire smoke... Members also raise issues with the production team

The production team on the official NMIXX YouTube content faced criticism from fans after presenting an acting theme reminiscent of member Lily’s childhood wildfire experience. In episode 2 of ’Strange Agent,’ released on the official NMIXX YouTube channel on the 30th, the members participated in an improvisation acting test for fan support content. During this process, the production team suggested ″acting out a scene where your house burns down″ as the first acting theme. Lily responded, ″I don’t even need to act this out,″ while other members questioned the production team, saying, ″Why did you bring up something like this?″ The theme was later changed to a different topic. Lily, who is from Australia, lived in Marysville during the ’Black Saturday bushfires’ that struck Victoria in 2009. During her appearance on the audition program ’K-pop Star 4,’ she mentioned her wildfire experience, saying, ″A lot was destroyed and many people died,″ and ″I developed trauma, didn’t go outside, and was scared of the wind.″ She explained that she started singing to overcome the pain through music. After the video was released, fans criticized the production team with comments such as, ″They must have known Lily had such wounds,″ and ″How could they bring up such a theme in front of a victim?″ Meanwhile, NMIXX released their 6th mini-album ’Strange Muse’ on the 19th of last month and is currently promoting the title track ’Birthday Wish.’
