She also demanded that Kuk Dong-ho admit to the school violence and publicly apologize, threatening to release the evidence she possessed if he did not comply within a set timeframe.Subsequently, Kuk Dong-ho appointed Law Firm Piel as his legal representative and filed a criminal complaint against Lawyer Lee on May 15th. After approximately six months of investigation, the police sent the case to the prosecution this week.The legal representative stated, "Through this case, Kuk Dong-ho suffered severe defamation by being publicly identified as a perpetrator of school violence that he did not commit. In particular, as a legal professional, Lawyer Lee repeatedly posted these claims using her professional status, leading Kuk Dong-ho to be effectively branded as a school violence perpetrator in front of the public."They added, "While the rights of school violence victims must be protected, it is not justifiable to falsely accuse a specific individual as a perpetrator without evidence while claiming to be a victim, or to publicly pressure someone to admit to and apologize for false information. Especially for lawyers, who are legal professionals, it is required to act with greater caution and responsibility, considering the impact of their claims and actions on the honor and rights of others."Regarding this case, they also took action against those who provided or disseminated false information about Kuk Dong-ho without objective evidence. The legal representative stated, "This can also be subject to legal responsibility. We are currently reviewing the actions of the individuals involved based on the evidence secured so far, and if any illegal acts are confirmed, we will take necessary legal measures, including additional criminal complaints and civil claims for damages."Finally, they added, "This referral to the prosecution is significant in that it represents the investigative authorities' acknowledgment of the suspect's criminal charges.
