Kim Sook wins Best Female Entertainer Award at the Blue Dragon Series Awards... 'Do Driver' achieves double crown victory

On August 1st, Kim Sook revealed the behind-the-scenes of the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards after-party on her SNS, sharing moments spent with the Netflix variety show ″Do Driver″ team. Jo Se-ho, who had paused his activities, also attended, drawing attention. At the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards held on July 31st at Paradise City in Incheon, Kim Sook won the Best Female Entertainer Award and Joo Woo-jae won the Male Entertainer Award, making the show a double winner. The program, featuring Kim Sook, Hong Jin-kyung, Jo Se-ho, Joo Woo-jae, and Jang Woo-young, has released five seasons and was nominated in three categories, including Best Variety Show. Kim Sook expressed, ″I never imagined so many people would love Netflix’s ’Do Driver,’″ and thanked her fellow actors, staff, and related personnel throughout the awards ceremony. She also shared, ″From the days of ’Hong Kim Dongjeon,’ the members, production team, director, and staff who have worked closely together with one heart have made it possible to achieve the honor of being nominated for Best Show.″ In the released photos, Jo Se-ho is seen sitting between Kim Sook and Joo Woo-jae, smiling brightly while making a V sign with both hands, holding a trophy. Kim Sook added, ″Thank you to the members who waited until the end of the ceremony to celebrate and to Eun-yi unnie who came running even after her own award.″ Jo Se-ho suspended his activities after being embroiled in allegations of involvement with organized crime in December last year, which his agency A2Z Entertainment denied. Jo Se-ho also stated, ″I want to clarify that the allegations raised due to that connection are completely untrue,″ and has since left shows like ″You Quiz on the Block″ and ″2 Days & 1 Night,″ appearing only in the ″Do Driver″ series. Meanwhile, ″Do Driver Season 6 – The Law of Survival″ is scheduled to premiere on Netflix at 11 a.m. on the 8th.
