Seventeen Seungkwan "It is not true that I prepaid at a Jeju barbecue restaurant" directly clarifies

Seungkwan (real name Boo Seungkwan), a member of the group Seventeen, denied the prepayment goodwill story surrounding him, stating that it is not true. Seungkwan recently addressed the prepayment goodwill story about a Jeju barbecue restaurant that spread online during a live broadcast on a fan communication platform. The story claimed that Seungkwan had prepaid 600,000 won at a barbecue restaurant in Jeju and provided drinks to fans. Some fans mentioned that they actually received drinks at the restaurant, which led to the story spreading as if it were true. However, Seungkwan denied the rumor, saying, ″I have never prepaid at that restaurant.″ He added, ″I am not trying to discourage people from visiting the restaurant because it is delicious, but I do not want something I did not do to spread like a goodwill story.″ Seungkwan also explained, ″Because of this incident, I have cut off contact with an acquaintance who runs the barbecue restaurant,″ and said, ″I cannot tolerate fans being harmed. That is why I ended contact.″ He stated that even if he happens to meet someone on the street and pays for their meal, he will not make any separate prepayments in advance in the future. He also urged, ″If anyone has been impersonated or suffered similar damage, please send an email to the company.″ Additionally, he warned not to believe stories about someone pretending to be his acquaintance offering concert tickets. As Seungkwan denied the prepayment goodwill story, speculation has arisen that it might have been a staged act to promote the restaurant. The claim is that the restaurant tried to attract customers by fabricating a story that an idol was buying inexpensive drinks that could be received just by writing a restaurant review.
