Kim Woo-bin to Star in tvN's New Drama 'Gift'...Transforms into Former Pitching Coach

Kim Woo-bin has confirmed his role as Jung Min-yong, the protagonist of the new drama ″Gift,″ scheduled to air on tvN. This work is based on the baseball webtoon of the same name by writer Jung I-ri-ri, serialized on Kakao Webtoon, and will premiere in the second half of 2026. ″Gift″ is a coming-of-age sports drama that unfolds as a former professional baseball pitcher coach, who gains a special ability to instantly recognize others’ baseball talents after an unexpected accident, takes on the role of coach for the lowest-ranked high school baseball team in the country. In the drama, Kim Woo-bin’s character Jung Min-yong leaves the professional stage and takes the helm of the nation’s worst high school baseball team, transforming the team in his own unique way. The drama is directed by Kim Kyu-tae and Ham Seung-hoon, with the script written by writers Min Jeong, Hae Ju, and Seong Eun. Studio Dragon is in charge of planning, while By4M Studio, GTist, Studio Double M, and AM Entertainment are responsible for production. Kim Woo-bin’s agency stated, ″With his distinctive deep emotional acting and solid presence, he will vividly portray Jung Min-yong’s growth and transformation.″
