TWS surpasses 160,000 copies on the first day of Japanese single 2nd album release... Oricon Daily No. 1

TWS topped the Oricon Daily Single Ranking in Japan with their second single ’SODA SODA.’ Oricon announced on the 4th that on the August 3rd chart, TWS’s ’SODA SODA’ sold 161,253 copies on its first day, reaching the top of the Daily Single Ranking. This figure surpassed the first-week sales of about 150,000 copies of their Japanese debut single ’Nice to See You Again’ (original title はじめまして) released last year, all on the first day. The title track ’SODA SODA’ entered the Japan Line Music real-time ’Song Top 100’ chart immediately after its release and ranked 12th on the ’K-pop Top 100’ as of August 3rd. The music video was filmed against the backdrop of the summer sea and forest, with the signature choreography of shaking a Ramune bottle gaining attention. Nakajima Kento and members of CUTIE STREET participated in the challenge using this choreography. On the 3rd, one day before the single release, TWS held a release commemorative event at DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Tokyo, meeting about 10,000 fans. At the event, they performed ’SODA SODA,’ their Japanese debut song ’Nice to See You Again,’ and ’Isn’t It Cool to Run Following Your Heart?’ Upcoming schedules for TWS include appearances on Fuji TV’s ’STAR’ on the 6th, ’Mezamashi WANGAN Festival’ on the 7th, and ’Summer Sonic 2026’ on the 14th and 16th. Following these, they will continue performances in Fukuoka, Hyogo, and Kanagawa through their Asia tour ’24/7:FOR:YOU.’ Meanwhile, TWS is a six-member multinational boy group under Pledis Entertainment, debuting on January 22, 2024. The team name is an abbreviation of ’TWENTY FOUR SEVEN WITH US.’
