Lim Young Woong fan club 'Raon' donates 2.22 million won for meal service to celebrate 10th debut anniversary... 62nd good deed

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of singer Lim Young Woong’s debut, the fan volunteer group Hero Era Volunteer Sharing Room ″Raon″ carried out meal service and support activities for the local community. On August 15, Raon provided meal service and support worth 2.22 million won at Rodem House in Yangpyeong. This activity marked the 62nd meal service at Rodem House, where children with severe disabilities live, and was prepared as a special meal to commemorate Lim Young Woong’s 10th debut anniversary. Raon donates meal expenses and supplies to Rodem House every month and continues kitchen meal service by cooking and providing food directly. On that day, the volunteer group prepared lunch including abalone porridge, bulgogi, braised beef, cold cucumber and seaweed soup, fish cake vegetable pancakes, spam potato stew, rolled omelet, and fruit salad. They also delivered snacks such as candies, cookies, milk, beverages, and fruits including bananas, oranges, melons, peaches, and Shine Muscat grapes. Additionally, they prepared 6 kg of Korean beef brisket and celebratory rice cakes. The volunteer group prepared ingredients from the day before for this special meal, securing a large quantity of ingredients including 120 abalones. They departed for Yangpyeong early on the 15th but arrived about 1 hour and 30 minutes later than usual due to traffic congestion on the first day of the holiday. Before serving lunch, they proceeded with cleaning and cooking the abalones and preparing side dishes. Raon said, ″With the ongoing heatwave and the start of the holiday, this meal service might not have been easy, but we could not turn away thinking of the angels at Rodem House who were eagerly waiting.″ They added, ″Especially to celebrate the 10th anniversary of our singer Lim Young Woong’s debut, we gave up personal schedules such as vacations and participated in the volunteer work with joy.″ They continued, ″As fans of singer Lim Young Woong who practice the value of ’together,’ we want to bring warm comfort to marginalized neighbors,″ and stated, ″We will continue to find places in need and steadily practice sharing.″ Raon is a fan volunteer group that continues monthly volunteer work and support. Besides Rodem House, they have provided meal services and donated youth independence support funds in areas such as slum villages, Yongsan box villages, Seoul Child Welfare Association, and ’People Selling Hope.’ They also participate in supporting children with severe illnesses through Seoul National University Children’s Hospital. Recently, they have contributed to supporting the reconstruction of Rodem House. The total amount of support delivered through 63 months of volunteering and donations is 242.69 million won.
