Vernon enlists today (20th)... New song 'I'll Be Back' released at 6 PM

Seventeen member Vernon will release a new song titled ″I’ll Be Back″ simultaneously with the start of his alternative military service on August 20. Pledis Entertainment announced that Vernon will unveil the new single ″I’ll Be Back″ at 6 p.m. on major music streaming platforms that day. The song is an electronic track with a pop sensibility and was previously performed live during the July ″2026 VERNON THE 8 [V8] LIVE.″ Vernon participated in writing and composing the song himself, conveying a sincere message to his fans. Vernon has expanded his musical spectrum through various solo tracks, including ″Seventeen″’s fifth full-length album track ″Shining Star (Vernon Solo),″ the V8 mini-album track ″Mia,″ and the mixtape ″Black Eye.″ He has also actively engaged in creative activities by collaborating with The8 on the production of the V8 album and working with artists both domestically and internationally. Based on these activities, Vernon joined the Recording Academy as a voting member last year and was promoted to a full member of the Korea Music Copyright Association in 2024. On July 27, Pledis Entertainment announced the military service schedules for Vernon and Dokyeom. Dokyeom will enlist as an active-duty soldier in the army on September 8 and will participate in all scheduled official activities until then without disruption. The agency requested that fans refrain from visiting the training camp entrance ceremony and alternative service workplaces on the enlistment day. After beginning their service, the two members will not be able to participate in Seventeen’s schedule but plan to connect with fans through various pre-prepared content.
