TWS, Japanese new song 'SODA SODA' challenge surpasses 73 million views... Billboard Japan No.1 and tops charts

TWS is gaining high popularity in Japan with the hand choreography challenge for the title track of their second Japanese single album ’SODA SODA.’ According to their agency Pledis Entertainment, the combined cumulative views of the challenge videos posted on official SNS reached over 73 million as of August 24 on Instagram. The challenge features a hand gesture of thumbs up in sync with the lyrics ″Shuwa Shuwa (シュワシュワ).″ The concept of the song connects the Japanese word for affirmation ’Souda (そうだ)’ with the carbonated drink ’SODA’ to express excitement toward someone. The challenge included participation from Japanese artists such as Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s Wakai Hiroto and Fujisawa Ryoka, Nakajima Kento, JO1 Kono Junki, M!LK’s Yamanaka Jutaro, AKB48’s Oguri Yui and Ito Momoka. Among K-pop artists, aespa Karina, Seventeen Dino, Tomorrow X Together (TXT) Yeonjun, LE SSERAFIM Sakura, and RIIZEnne Minami joined as well.
