Park Soo-hong officially apologizes for family airplane delay, takes responsibility for immature judgment

Park Soo-hong personally apologized regarding the departure delay that occurred on the aircraft with his family. A video showing Park Soo-hong repeatedly saying ″I’m sorry″ to passengers on board was released. Korean Air flight KE415 was scheduled to depart from Incheon International Airport to Guam on the 23rd, but the actual takeoff was delayed by about 70 minutes until 11:15 a.m. The arrival was also confirmed to be about 30 minutes late. Park Soo-hong’s family was seated in the Prestige class, and with a child crying severely, Park Soo-hong reportedly expressed his intention to disembark, concerned about greater discomfort during the long flight. While waiting on board, Park Soo-hong’s family withdrew their intention to disembark once the child calmed down, and it was reported that they did not actually leave the aircraft. During this process, procedures such as unloading checked baggage were carried out, which caused the departure delay. The video capturing the in-flight situation showed Park Soo-hong continuously apologizing to nearby passengers, bowing his head and appearing restless amid the child’s crying. The person who released the video also stated that Park Soo-hong kept apologizing. Later, some online claims arose that Park Soo-hong’s family actually disembarked and then reboarded the plane, raising suspicions of celebrity privilege. However, Park Soo-hong explained that he expressed his intention to disembark on board but withdrew it before actually leaving. Korean Air also stated that they responded according to protocol when a passenger voluntarily disembarks. On the 26th, Park Soo-hong apologized through SNS, saying, ″Recently, a departure delay occurred due to my family during the boarding process. I caused great inconvenience by taking away the precious time of many people and also caused damage to the airline staff. I sincerely apologize with a bowed head.″ He explained that he made an immature decision out of panic because the child was crying and that he conveyed his intention to disembark to avoid causing greater harm to passengers during the long flight. He added, ″While waiting on board, the child stopped crying, and we expressed our intention to reboard, but I did not realize that this could significantly delay security checks and other procedures,″ acknowledging responsibility. Park Soo-hong once again expressed his apologies to the passengers and airline staff.
