Seventeen Jun stars in Chinese film "Summer Vacation Again for Me"... transforms 180 degrees into a college student role

Seventeen member Jun will appear in the Chinese film ″Give Me Another Summer Vacation (再给我一个暑假).″ Pledis Entertainment announced on the 9th that Jun has been cast in this project directed by Bao Jingjing. Jun’s role is Jin Zhugang, a college student working part-time at a photo studio. The film tells the story of Su Xiaoli (苏小利), who returns to her hometown to take care of her mother and reunites with Jin Zhugang, her childhood neighbor. The main plot centers on the protagonist’s journey of saying goodbye to an irretrievable past and welcoming a new summer. The role of Su Xiaoli is played by Bai Baihe (白百何), and Su Xiaoli’s mother, Zhao Chunhua (赵春花), is portrayed by Diana Lin (林晓杰). The screenplay and direction are handled by Bao Jingjing (鲍鲸鲸), who won the Best Adapted Screenplay award at the Golden Horse Awards. Jun previously showcased a strong villainous role in the film ″Wind Chasing Shadow (捕风追影)″ and attempts a completely different character transformation in this new work. The previously released trailer, capturing the serene atmosphere of a midsummer countryside, received positive responses. Jun is establishing his position as an actor by appearing in various films and dramas in China. Last year’s release ″Wind Chasing Shadow″ was invited to the Shanghai International Film Festival and the Busan International Film Festival, and he was recently nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Grand Popular Film Awards, receiving a candidate commendation. Meanwhile, Jun recently signed a second contract renewal with Pledis Entertainment along with the other Seventeen members.
