Seventeen member Hoshi sustained a knee injury during his military service and will focus on surgery and recovery. On the morning of the 12th, Hoshi posted on the fan communication platform Weverse, revealing that he injured his knee during practice with the Ground Forces performance team and was diagnosed with a complete tear of the anterior cruciate ligament. As a result, he announced that he would be unable to participate in the scheduled Taekwondo demonstration team event and the Ground Forces Festival. Hoshi personally shared the news with fans, saying, ″I have to focus on recovery for a while after surgery, so I won’t be able to join the scheduled Taekwondo demonstration team event and the Ground Forces Festival. These were stages I was really looking forward to and prepared hard for, so I’m very disappointed not to be able to participate, and I feel sorry to Carats who were waiting for me.″ He added, ″Although I can’t be there, please give lots of support to the Taekwondo demonstration team and the Ground Forces performance team with Jihoon (Woozi’s real name).
