Monsta X releases choreography video for 'MAGICIAN'... Announces world tour and tops charts

Monsta X (MONSTA X) showcased a unique performance by releasing the choreography practice video of the title track ″MAGIC″ in the ″MAGICIAN″ version. Starship Entertainment released the choreography video for the ″MAGICIAN″ version of the title track ″MAGIC″ from the new album The Phase on their official YouTube channel on September 14. In the video, Monsta X members dressed up as various magician characters such as Kaito Kid, Gandalf, and Doctor Strange, wearing costumes that matched each concept and performing accordingly. The choreography included gestures and moves reminiscent of magic, with special effects such as doves appearing from hats and lights emanating from staffs. The behind-the-scenes video released alongside showed the members preparing for the shoot while wearing costumes, and Minhyuk personally suggesting ideas for the special effects. This concept created a cheerful atmosphere, different from the existing FIX version choreography video and music show performances. Monsta X revealed the ″MAGIC CARD FOR MONBEBE,″ featuring portraits of the members, through their official SNS. The card contained witty phrases usable in daily life, such as ″Magic spell to receive one serving that feels like three,″ ″Magic spell to boost phone battery life,″ and ″Magic spell to save your seat on the commute.″ After the release of The Phase, Monsta X topped the iTunes Top 100 K-pop Album Chart in 11 countries, ranked 6th on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart, and achieved first place on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank, concluding their promotional activities for the new release. After finishing domestic music show promotions, Monsta X will hold their world tour THE X : NEXUS in 10 cities across North America, including the United States and Canada, in October, and will hold encore concerts at Incheon Inspire Arena on November 21 and 22.
