'Good Partner 2' premieres on November 20... Jang Nara and Kim Hyeyoon collaborate

In SBS’s new Friday-Saturday drama ″Good Partner 2,″ Jang Nara and Kim Hyeyoon appear as new partners. ″Good Partner 2″ depicts the story of divorce specialist lawyer Cha Eun-kyung (Jang Nara) and experienced lawyer Kang Hye-sung (Kim Hyeyoon) becoming partners and collaborating. The series deals with life continuing after divorce and the process of lawyers making the best choices at crossroads without clear answers. Unlike season 1, this season focuses on the collaboration between two experienced lawyers. While season 1 portrayed the growth of a lead lawyer and a rookie lawyer, ″Good Partner 2″ promises a more solid work romance alongside more complex divorce cases. Writer Choi Yuna, a former divorce specialist lawyer, continues to write the series following season 1, and director Seo Min-jung takes over the directing role. Kim Hyeyoon has joined as Jang Nara’s new partner. Season 1 was a hit among SBS’s Friday-Saturday dramas in 2024. It told the story of star divorce lawyer Cha Eun-kyung and rookie lawyer Han Yuri (Nam Ji-hyun), starting with a 7.8% viewership rating on its first broadcast on July 12, 2024, and surpassing 10% by the third episode. Although the show was preempted for three weeks after the July 26 broadcast due to Paris Olympics coverage, the viewership before the break was 12.1%. Episodes 6 and 7, which aired after the break, recorded ratings of 13.6% and 17.7%, respectively. The highest rating was recorded in episode 7, aired on August 17. It achieved 17.7% nationwide, 18.7% in the metropolitan area, and a peak momentary rating of 21.5% (according to Nielsen Korea), making it the highest-rated SBS drama of 2024. The 2049 demographic rating also hit a personal best of 6.1%, ranking first among all weekly programs. In terms of buzz, it topped the TV drama category and OTT integrated chart in the third week of August according to Fundex, as well as ranking first overall on Wavve and Netflix. The final episode on September 20 ended with a 15.2% rating. From August, it maintained the number one spot in the cable TV VOD broadcast category for five consecutive weeks. In season 2, there are changes in directing and main cast. The director changed from Kim Ga-ram to Seo Min-jung, and Jang Nara’s partner switched from Nam Ji-hyun to Kim Hyeyoon. The production team revealed that Cha Eun-kyung and Kang Hye-sung will combine their strengths to create synergy, give each other new courage, and grow as ″Good Partners.″ They also expressed high expectations for the acting and chemistry between Jang Nara and Kim Hyeyoon.
