Choi Jinsil's daughter Choi Junhee confesses experience of appearance discrimination... "Health is the top priority"

Choi Jun-hee revealed her experience of discrimination based on appearance through her YouTube channel ’Junhee.’ In the video titled ″My Thoughts on Appearance Obsession. And (Re)Double Eyelid Surgery Q&A,″ posted on the 6th, Choi Jun-hee held a Q&A session after her third double eyelid surgery. Choi Jun-hee stated that due to the nature of her job, which requires attention to appearance, she tends to be strict with herself. She shared that she once felt discriminated against by being compared solely based on her looks at an event, which greatly lowered her self-esteem. She said, ″At the event, I was compared only by my appearance. I experienced a lot of discrimination that wasn’t exactly discrimination. It was purely just about my looks, regardless of my reputation as Choi Jun-hee.″ She added, ″At that time, my self-esteem was really crushed.″ She also expressed her concerns about her appearance, saying, ″I realized I need to clearly distinguish whether I am trying to become prettier or if I am endlessly looking for my flaws.″ She emphasized, ″As many of you already know because I am very famous, I suffered greatly from lupus, an autoimmune disease. Having experienced my body completely breaking down once, diet is important, but health is definitely my number one priority in life.″ Choi Jun-hee revealed that her profile lists her height as 170 cm, and she lost weight from 96 kg in the past to 55 kg, currently maintaining 41 kg. Regarding her weight loss journey, she previously shared comparison photos of past and present along with the caption, ″People call me a skeleton or mummy, but so what? Being underweight is better.″ She also shared her thoughts on plastic surgery. She said, ″From 96 kg to 41 kg. And I’m someone who’s had double eyelid surgery three times. If you plan to lose weight, finish the major weight loss first before considering plastic surgery. This is not about ’you have to be skinny to be pretty.’″ She added, ″The eyes I wanted when I was 96 kg and the eyes I wanted after the big weight loss were really different. I learned this firsthand with money.″ Regarding her condition five days after the double eyelid surgery, she said, ″I had incisions, eye shape correction, and epicanthoplasty. Always lose weight before getting plastic surgery. This is heartfelt advice from someone who lost weight from 96 kg to 41 kg.″ She continued, ″If I go back to 96 kg, I wouldn’t even book a plastic surgery appointment. First, I would create my final canvas.″ Meanwhile, Choi Jun-hee married a non-celebrity man 11 years her senior at a hotel in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on May 16. Her older brother Choi Hwan-hee was the host, and broadcaster Jo Se-ho officiated the ceremony.
