BTS V appointed as Champion Global Ambassador → Product sold out... Japanese economic newspaper focuses analysis on 'BTS-sales'

BTS V has proven his brand power and economic influence as a global ambassador. The recent issue of the Japanese comprehensive economic weekly Toyo Keizai focused on analyzing the impact of V’s brand power on consumer behavior and brand growth. Toyo Keizai named V’s influence the ″V-ure″ phenomenon and discussed the economic effects of his global stardom on actual consumer behavior. The media stated, ″V is a figure coveted by companies worldwide. Advertisements featuring him typically highlight V’s visuals more than the product itself,″ evaluating V as a brand in himself. Toyo Keizai covered HYBE’s business model, artist development strategy, the influence of the fan platform Weverse, and its approach to the Japanese and U.S. markets in the August 15–22 issue titled ″The Ambition of the Entertainment Empire HYBE.″ It explained that HYBE has established a unique business model that generates revenue by understanding artists not simply as ’people’ but as data. The case of the Japanese beauty brand Youn’s was also introduced. Youn’s shifted its strategy from direct sales to aiming for store sales and overseas market expansion within a year of its listing, and Toyo Keizai reported that this decision was triggered by V’s appointment as ambassador. The media explained that the products V promoted quickly sold out, Youn’s Instagram followers increased 2.5 times in one month, and sales grew. Additionally, after V was selected as the global ambassador for the U.S. sportswear brand Champion on the 10th, news of the advertising model caused the Champion site on Target, the online retailer, to crash due to traffic overload, and the products V wore sold out in all stores worldwide. Currently, V is participating in campaigns for various brands including Champion, Celine, Cartier, Coca-Cola, Hite Jinro, Snow Apparel, Paradise City, Compose Coffee, TIRTIR, Youn’s, and SimInvest.
